The Name:
I settled on the name 'with love catering' because this catering company would be working specifically with all things wedding. Groom's dinners, bridal showers, the after wedding breakfast and of course the event itself. I felt the name 'with love' evoked a sense of dedication to cooking delicious food, a dedication to the serving, and the kind courteousness of wait-staff all while tying into the wedding theme.
The Process:
The color scheme was loosely based on some food photography that I had done for a catering company I worked for. Unfortunately the small file sizes made the incompatible for designing but they did provide a great starting point for color pallet. The design also features a plant sprig because it helps to lend an organic and natural feel to the brand. I used to to help tie elements together and create unity between images. In my experience in catering, event looks, food, and lighting can vary greatly. If you are putting something on social media, a unifying design element can help make the images more cohesive.
The designs I created for this project feature the light pink that is carried through the Thank You cards, business cards, and menu. I have found that event catering usually has brands that feature black and white or muted branding because it keeps a sense of professionalism without clashing with the theme of the event. Since weddings were the target for this company I thought a simple muted blush pink would blend nicely with most wedding settings.
